About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Security Management: Craft and uphold security protocols for organizational systems, networks, and applications, including the oversight of tools, firewalls, and detection systems.
Risk Evaluation: Regularly perform assessments and tests to spot and rectify vulnerabilities in our infrastructure and software.
Policy Development: Create and implement security policies and guidelines to align with industry standards and legal regulations.
Incident Handling: Vigilantly monitor for and investigate security breaches, leading the charge in incident response to neutralize threats.
Team Integration: Collaborate extensively with various teams to weave security considerations seamlessly into the development lifecycle, promoting a forward-thinking security stance.
Threat Intelligence: Keep abreast of the latest in security threats, trends, and best practices, advising on strategies to bolster security defenses.

Qualifications:

Educational Foundation: Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, with further certifications being advantageous.
Tactical Expertise: Experienced in conducting ethical hacking and penetration tests on various systems to pinpoint and fix security gaps.
Security Strategy: Proven track record in cybersecurity, particularly in safeguarding systems, networks, and applications.
Data Stewardship: Skilled in managing and fine-tuning data processes in platforms like Snowflake, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Technical Acumen: Proficient with a variety of security tools and technologies, and adept in programming languages like Python and Bash.
Cloud Proficiency: Knowledgeable in securing cloud environments like AWS and GCP.
Industry Credentials: Possession of certifications like OSCP, OSWE, or CEH is highly valued.
Problem-Solving and Communication: Exceptional at diagnosing and solving complex issues with a keen eye for detail and a talent for clear communication.
